About Dental Implants

Enjoy greater stability and comfort

Say goodbye to denture adhesives, sore spots and embarrassing moments with the dental implants that make your dentures more stable with a bite comparable to natural teeth. Dental implants are small titanium* screws that act as a substitute for the root portions of your missing teeth. By placing two or more dental implants in either your upper or your lower jaw, we can make your denture teeth more stable and more comfortable.

Implant supported denture types that look and function like your natural teeth

  • Dental implants for removable dentures
Easy to remove with the components that snap on and off. Suitable for people who want the option of removing and maintaining their dentures.
  • Dental implants for fixed dentures
Firmly attached to the dental implants. This type of denture implant can only be removed by a dental professional in one of the Changing Faces dental stabilisation clinics.

In harmony with your body

As part of your consultation, the Implant Surgeon will assess the condition of your jawbone, the soft tissue of your mouth, your general health and the type of dental restoration you require. If you decide to undergo treatment, they will develop a treatment plan to fit the dental implants that help your dentures look just like your own natural teeth. Because your dental implant will actually fuse with your jawbone in a process known as ‘osseointegration’, it won’t be long before your denture teeth look and feel more secure.

*Titanium is a silver-white precious metal, proven to be completely biocompatible. More than being in harmony with your body, titanium actually stimulates bone growth and improves the health of your jaw. In dentistry it is used as a basic material for dental implants because of its high strength and resistance to corrosion.

Treated by your own denture expert

If you are experiencing total tooth loss, the good news is you can visit one of the Changing Faces® Denture Clinics directly without having to first see a dentist. Your dentures will be designed and fitted by the clinical dental technician who also provides your treatment.
