Partial Dentures

Consultation

Enjoy life, every day

At Changing Faces, we understand how losing even just one tooth can impact upon your self-esteem. That is why, when you become a Changing Faces patient, we will work closely with your needs to alleviate your concerns about getting dentures. By creating the partial dentures that look exactly like your own teeth, we will help you get back to a life you know – one where you can enjoy eating, talking and laughing again.

Just like your own natural teeth

Your new denture teeth will be individually selected and finished for the perfect fit. Each of your new denture teeth will be positioned by hand onto a base made from either a gum coloured plastic or a less bulky metal alloy base, restoring the appearance of your own natural teeth.

Caring for your remaining teeth

Missing teeth can quickly create problems for your remaining teeth. Left uncared for, your natural teeth can rotate, tilt and move into unsightly and awkward positions. To prevent this a Dentist colleague will examine your mouth to identify and treat any tooth decay, tooth loss or gum disease.; by working with our Clinical Dental Technicians the Dentist will develop a personal treatment plan. Changing Faces® Denture Clinics are based within carefully selected Dental Practices so getting to see a Dentist is easy. Alternatively, you can ask your own Dentist for a referral to our clinic, along with a treatment plan for your partial dentures for our CDT's to work to.

  • Prevent your remaining teeth from rotating, tilting and moving into unsightly and awkward positions
  • Smile more often and feel more confident about your appearance
  • Speak more clearly with the partial dentures that help you clarify sounds and words
  • Enjoy greater comfort when you eat with a complete dentition

Benefiting from the experience of the our denture experts

When the Dentist colleague examines your mouth you will also meet the Clinical Dental Technician who will later treat you in the clinic. As well as discussing your denture history and listening to your expectations your CDT will begin to understand what you want to achieve, so they can prepare for your next visit. At this stage the CDT’s technical knowledge is indispensable and will greatly aid the Dentist with their treatment planning. Finally the CDT will follow a treatment plan agreed by you.

The complexity of your case will be agreed and together the Dentist and your CDT will have considered:

  • What dental treatment may be needed to prepare the mouth to receive a new partial denture
  • Any possible complications that might require more treatment in the future
  • Whether gum disease is present and what bearing this has on the new partial denture
  • Findings from dental x-rays
  • Your previous dental history
  • Which of your natural teeth can be used to secure your partial denture into place
  • What type of partial denture design would be the most favourable
  • What dental materials would be most suitable and how long they expect any restorations to last
  • Which denture teeth would give the best result
